KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT.
Starting therapy comes with questions. Here are the answers to some of the most common ones.
-
Iron Mind Therapy work with teens and adults navigating a variety of mental health concerns and life challenges. I also have a special interest in working with athletes and I understand the unique pressures that can come with performance, competition, injury, identity, and transitions within or beyond sport.
-
Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and tailored to you. We’ll explore what’s happening beneath the surface, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop tools you can actually use outside the therapy space.
-
I am currently working with athletes aged 15-18.
-
Iron Mind Therapy is a fully virtual practice. Sessions are provided through secure telehealth, allowing you to attend therapy from a private, comfortable space that works for you. Telehealth services are available to clients located in Texas at the time of their session.
-
Iron Mind Therapy is a self-pay practice and does not accept insurance directly. Payment is due at the time of service.
Upon request, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined by your individual insurance plan and is not guaranteed. I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
-
Iron Mind Therapy does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing an immediate mental health emergency or are in danger, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. You can also call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
-
Individual therapy sessions are $120 per 50-minute session, and group therapy sessions are $60 per session. Optional parent/caregiver check-ins for adolescent clients are available at $30 for 15 minutes or $60 for 30 minutes.
-
Optional monthly parent/caregiver check-ins are available to discuss overall progress, treatment goals, concerns, and ways you can support your teen outside of therapy. These conversations are not intended to provide a play-by-play of sessions. Protecting the therapeutic relationship and your teen's privacy is an important part of treatment. The limits of confidentiality will be discussed at the beginning of therapy.
