Meet Pilar

Pilar Gonzaba, LPC-Associate receiving clinical supervision by Dr. Kevin Milligan, LPC-S

I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up exactly as you are — no judgement, no pressure to have it all together, and no need to perform.

As a therapist and former Division I collegiate athlete, I understand what it means to operate in environments where you’re expected to be strong, disciplined, and resilient, even when things feel anything but that internally. My own experience as an athlete shaped my passion for helping others navigating the pressure, identity, expectations, and transitions that come with both sport and life.

My approach to therapy is warm, direct, and real. I work collaboratively with my clients and parents to understand what’s keeping them stuck, develop practical tools, and create meaningful change — not just in the therapy room, but in everyday life.

While I have a special passion for working with athletes, Iron Mind Therapy isn’t only for athletes. I work with adults navigating anxiety, emotional regulation, relationships, life transitions, self-esteem, burnout, and the pressure to constantly have it together.

You don’t have to be in crisis to work on becoming stronger. Sometimes therapy is simply where you decide you’re ready for something to change.
